Volta FA Confirms Kickoff Date for Women’s Division One League

The Volta Regional Football Association (VRFA) has confirmed August 6, 2021, as the commencement date for the regional Women's Division One League.

The Volta Regional Football Association (VRFA) has confirmed August 6, 2021, as the commencement date for the regional Women’s Division One League.

The league is aimed at producing a regional representative, ahead of the upcoming Zonal Championship, which leads to a possible Women’s Premier League slot.

The commencement date was decided at a meeting with representatives of the Women’s Regional Division One League clubs, held on the 8th of July 2021, at the VRFA Secretariat in Ho.

The Regional FA supported each club with four footballs, as part of preparation ahead of the league.

Just as the Regional Division Two (2) League, the Women’s club would have their matches played at various centers i.e. Some Secondary School Park, Akatsi Training College Park, Kpando Park, and the Ho Sports Stadium.

The Twelve (12) teams would be grouped in three (3) Zones, A to C.

4. Ketu ladies

Group B
Venue: Ho Sports Stadium

1. Glad ladies

3. Mafi Kumase Warriors ladies
4. Dynamo ladies

Group C
Venue: Kpando Stadium

1. Espoir ladies
2. Biakoye ladies
3. Dream Big ladies
4. Ave Shinning ladies
