Hon. George Boakye Leaves for Germany-Ghana Agro-Processing Brunch

The Ahafo Regional Minister, Hon. George Boakye left the shores of Ahafo for Accra on Saturday, 10th July 2021 to participate in the Germany-Ghana Agro-Processing Brunch taking place on 13th July 2021 at the Octagon Building.

The investment exibition is at the invitation of Mr. Burkhardt Hellemann, the Delegate for the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK, Ghana). The occasion will see both leaders and German investors deliberate on mutually beneficial cooperation between the German and Ahafo Region.

The Regional Minister, in furtherance, is expected to use the Germany-Ghana Agro-Processing Brunch as an opportunity to sell the investment opportunities in the region to over forty (40) potential investors and also deepen the strong ties between the German and the Ahafo Region.

The agro-processing brunch is an initiative by the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Ghana which is in line with its mandate to promote trade between German and Ghana.

This series aims at looking more intently at the agro-processing sector and promote the transfer of world-renowned and much-loved German technology, know-how, ideas, and interesting German businesses into the agro-processing space in Ghana.

The Delegation is excited by developments in the space in Ghana and is ready to support efforts to increase and improve agricultural output and focus more on value-addition efforts along the value-chain. The first in the series of this event aims to bring together, Ghanaian and German agro-processing businesses, thought-leaders, policy makers and other relevant actors in the sector to network.

This event is supported by the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Ghana, the German Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy, The Africa Business Network and has the Ghanaian Ministry of Food and Agriculture, The Ghana Investment Promotion Council as partners.

Hon. George Boakye was accompanied by Mr. Jacob A. Ntiamoah, Regional Economic Planning Officer, and Mr. Moses Antwi, Special Aide to the Regional Minister.
