Atwima Mponua Assembly Members gave the President nominee, Honorable Isaac Kofi Marfo a resounding endorsement as the District Chief Executive on Tuesday, September 28.

The meeting was attended by the Member of Parliament, Honorable Isaac Asiamah, Nana Amanpene Boateng Twum II, Nyinahinhene; Nana Yim Awere Ababio, Toasehene and other dignitaries held at the Assembly Hall.

The Presiding Member, Honorable Charles Dwomfour gave a welcome address and beseeched the gathered members to vote ‘YES’ to speed up the process once and for all.

All the 55 Assembly members unanimous voted to confirm the president’s nominee.

Thanking the members, Honorable Marfo affectionately called Sariki Naaba by his peers sought unity to drive the development agenda of the President to benefit the indigenes of Mponua.

He admonished his colleagues to embrace brotherly love to live in harmony. He congratulated his predecessor Hon. Yaw Darko and promised to finish all developmental projects he initiated.

The MP for the areas, Isaac Asiamah prayed members to be resolute and seek the betterment of the District. He congratulated the DCE for being loyal to the cause of the NPP and asked others to emulate Honorable Marfo’s unalloyed loyalty. “Mr Marfo has served me for 12 years as a Party Chairman and has been with me through thick and thin and he deserves this accolade from the President”, he posited.

The two Aprempon of Manhyia Palace (Nana Amanpene Boateng Twum II and Yim Awere Ababio, advised the newly appointed DCE to eschew arrogance, greed and disrespect, as these vices have been the bane of many failed political appointees. They asked the DCE to consult them 24/7 for advice.

All heads of department, service commanders and well-wishers were present to give their maximum support to the DCE.
