Charity begins at home and The Will of the People Cannot Be Suppressed in Asunafo South through Discrimination.

For most political observers there are two seats in Ahafo Region which has eluded the NPP over a period of time. These two constituencies have been tagged as the twin orphan constituencies of Ahafo Region. This twin tag means that they share many things in common.

What is good for the goose is good for the gander. What is good for Asutifi South is good for Asunafo South. The basis for this saying is to showcase equality and fairness. In a political party where some people are seen to be discriminated against for what ever reasons has dire consequences.

Political observers opine that the 2020 NPP Parliamentary Candidate in Asunafo South is being given a raw deal for some reasons.

Some political analyst’s are of the view that, the Regional Minister is burnt on revenge. He was defeated by Hon Ing. Kobby Amoa-Mensah in the 2019 internal primaries. So this is his time to revenge. Attempts have been made by some to impose the Regional Minister to be presented as the unopposed candidate. This was resisted by many party supporters, a clear example of a vote of confidence in the 2020 Parliamentary Candidate.

Numerous attempts of mudslinging, insults etc have all been employed to break the spirit of the 2020 candidate but to no avail.

In an interview with Hon. Ing Kobby Amoa-Mensah, he said “The fight ahead is bigger than any individual and no person can single handedly secure victory without the support of other members of the party. Until leadership in the region appreciates this fact, our mission will be in oblivion and futile.

Election results from 2020 in Asunafo South was better than Asutifi South. In fact the magnitude of votes attained was a record. No candidate has ever crossed the 18100 votes, however in 2020, Hon Ing Kobby Amoa-Mensah against all odds pulled a record 20927. If there is anything to read into numbers, your guess is good as mine.

The failure of some of NPP leadership in Ahafo Region is clear.

Preaching Unity and practicing otherwise is just a smokescreen.

Charity begins at home, at the constituency it is evidenced in their systematic, conscious, deliberate attempt to sabotage, degrade, make unpopular, sabotage and derail the campaign of Hon Ing Kobby Amoa-Mensah.

There is no evidence of unity in Asunafo South and those preaching Unity should ask why there is no unity.

If we are Maintaining the PC in Asutifi South by acclamation, why are we not maintaining the PC in Asunafo South by acclamation. It is very obvious. The will of the people can never be changed or suppressed.”

Many supporters of the NPP in Asunafo South are demanding that their preferred candidate, Ing. Kobby Amoa-Mensah, be similarly appointed by acclamation, arguing that the people’s choice must be respected.
