Critical Thinkers International (CTI) is a Ghanaian youth based political and policy think tank that ascribes to the centre-right political ideology. In our quest to influence and shape our political discourse that will yield accountable leaders especially in the New Patriotic Party (NPP), we are embarking on a Regional Youth Organiser Aspirants’ Debate which will be climaxed with the National Youth Organiser Aspirants’ Debate at a later date towards the upcoming internal Executive Committee Elections of the NPP.
The rationale for this initiative is to provide an intellectually stimulating platform where aspirants will espouse their policies and programs for the teeming youth of the NPP.
This is also to afford prospective delegates to engage with aspirants in a way that brings out the best in them, thereby enabling them make informed decision on the choice of their next crop of leaders.
It has been a conscious adventure to tame mere name chanting, bigotry, bickering, sloganeering etc that has characterised our electoral contests in the recent past.
We uphold that, our electoral processes should be sanitized, as this can only be achieved by raising the consciousness of the Youth who are mostly the agents of name calling, machinations and sloganeering.
This model initiative in the NPP is been pioneered in collaboration with the Regional TESCONs, under the auspices of the Regional Youth Wing and with the unfettered support of National Youth Wing, NPP Medical Team, party leadership across it’s rank and file and not forgetting the Media too.
We are happy to announce to all and sundry that, our first in the series of the Regional Debates which will be running under the theme: *’Harnessing Our Youthful Potentials for Sustained Political Power is scheduled for the Brong Ahafo Region this Saturday 17th March, 2018 at the K. Nsiah-Gyabaah Auditorium of Sunyani Technical University at 10am.*
The NPP Medical Team has offered to give Participants for the various sessions free health screening before the commencement of the Debate. We are very grateful for this kind gesture and selfless service.
We will like to by this humbly request all participants attending this August occasion (which will be opened to the public) to comport themselves and act with utmost decorum.
We are counting on the the collaboration with the media fraternity as well.
Dates and relevant details of subsequent Regional Debates and the National Debate will be announced in due time.
