Hon. Ing. Kobby Amoa Mensah has endorsed Hon. Booba for the Ahafo NPP Regional Chairman position, describing him as the leader best equipped to unite the party, strengthen its structures, and drive its success in the Ahafo Region.
Hon. Ing. Kobby Amoa-Mensah, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Asunafo South Constituency in the 2020 General Election, Founder of AMEND Foundation Ghana, and a renowned International Independent Road Safety Auditor, has officially endorsed Hon. Robert Sarfo-Mensah (Hon. Booba) for the position of Ahafo NPP Regional Chairman.
Hon. Ing. Amoa-Mensah, who holds the record as the highest vote-getting Parliamentary Candidate in Asunafo South Constituency, stated that his decision is guided by the broader interest of the New Patriotic Party and the future of the Ahafo Region.
According to him, leadership decisions at the regional level have a direct impact on the fortunes of the party, and therefore delegates must choose a leader with the experience, grassroots connection, and strategic capacity to rebuild the party ahead of the 2028 General Elections.
“Everyone knows I come from Asunafo South, and the current Regional Chairman is also from my constituency. However, my loyalty is first to the New Patriotic Party and the collective interest of Ahafo. The interest of the party must always be placed above personal, family, or parochial considerations,” he stated.
Hon. Ing. Amoa-Mensah expressed concern about the performance of the current regional leadership, noting that the party’s recent electoral challenges require honest reflection and a new direction.
He cautioned that failure to acknowledge past challenges and take corrective action could negatively affect the image of Asunafo South and its future leaders within the party.
“If some of us from Asunafo South fail to distance ourselves from poor leadership outcomes at the regional level, future generations may judge us by the actions and inactions of past leaders who represented our constituency,” he added.
He described Hon. Robert Sarfo-Mensah (Hon. Booba) as a leader with the experience, political understanding, and grassroots appeal required to unite the party, strengthen its structures, and restore confidence among members across the Ahafo Region.
Hon. Ing. Amoa-Mensah called on delegates to support Hon. Booba’s candidature, expressing confidence that his leadership will reposition the NPP and improve the party’s electoral fortunes in the region.
