The National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) and authorities from the Ahafo Region have joined forces to extend a helping hand to victims of a devastating domestic fire incident that occurred on December 2, 2023. The incident took place at Goaso Zongo, off Nana Yaw Minkah Street, near Providence Health Care and Gym Centre, leaving several families displaced and in dire need of assistance.

Alhaji Yusif Saeed, the Municipal Director of Asunafo North, acting on behalf of Regional Director Collins Osei Bonsu and the entire NADMO officers of Asunafo North and the Region, presented a range of relief items to the affected families. The items included mattresses, blankets, buckets, basins, and various other necessities that would alleviate their immediate hardships.

In a heartfelt gesture, the officials encouraged the affected families to remain steadfast during this difficult period. Their presence and support aimed to provide solace and reinforce the notion that the affected families were not alone in their struggle to rebuild their lives after such a tragic event.

Madam Yaa Akyaa, speaking on behalf of the impacted families, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to NADMO for their timely response and the much-needed assistance they provided. She acknowledged the significance of having a helping hand during such trying times and highlighted how the relief items would make a substantial impact on their lives.

Accompanying the relief presentation was the head of the Rapid Response Unit of Ahafo NADMO, W. O. 1 Abdulai Bawa, and his dedicated team. Their presence not only ensured a seamless distribution of the relief items but also showcased the commitment of NADMO and the Ahafo Regional authorities to providing comprehensive support to disaster-stricken communities.
