In the latest reshuffle of ministers in Ghana, Hon. Evans Bobie(MP) Asunafo North who was until recently the Deputy Regional Minister of Brong Ahafo, Ghana has been elevated to the Position of Regional Minister of Brong Ahafo Region.
Hon. Bobie’s elevation sent waves of jubilation across Brong Ahafo but specifically towns such as Goaso, Mim, Kukuom, Sankore, Kenyase and Bechem in the Ahafo enclave where he hails from.
The rise of Hon Bobie is testament to the fact that he deputised well to the then Regional Minister Hon. Asomah Kyeremeh who has also been elevated to the national level.
Ahafo news are proud to bring you his first public statement/interview since his nomination became public.
Accompanied by his able Constituency Chairman and Youth Organiser in front of the Brong Ahafo Regional Ministries Office Complex in Sunyani, Hon. Bobie showed his utmost gratitude to Almighty God for his new situation. He was also thankful to the President of Ghana for reposing his trust in him. He also thanked Nananom, Religious leaders and citizens of Brong Ahafo who have helped in diverse ways to uplift the image of the region. He emphatically thanked his predecessor Hon. Asomah Kyeremeh for his guidance when he served under him as his deputy.
The Chairman of NPP in Asunafo North, Mr Prempeh thanked The President for selecting his Constituency’s MP as Minister of the region.
It is well known that, Hon Bobie has been a strong advocate for the creation of the Ahafo Region whilst at the same maintaining a good relationship with the Brong states.
With his current ascendancy to greater polical heights, political pundits are of view that, with his accumulating experience, surely Hon. Bobie is being nurtured and deservedly groomed to be the First Regional Minister of the yet to be created new Ahafo Region. This assertion is supported by many in Ahafoman who recall how he humbly knelt down to plead for the creation of Ahafo Region.
